Gybe Path 2007

Our Sailors on the water!

Sea Cadets love to sail and have a lot of fun! While developing skills and confidence in their sailing and skippering abilities, they progress through levels of sailing on the waters behind the "Ship" at RCSCC Quinte and at the Sail Centre in Kingston.

Cadets gain knowledge in important aspects such as safety and boat maintenance. They learn about the points of sail, wind directions, how to gybe and tack, docking and mooring, and how to handle such events as capsizing and turtling.

In Albacores, Lasers, 420s and Whalers, the sails of RCSCC Quinte can be seen on the waters of the Bay of Quinte when the weather is right.

The National Sailing Regatta gives qualified cadets the opportunity to test their sailing abilities with sailors from other corps!
