Marksmanship

Marksmanship is a popular cadet training activity. Cadets are taught the proper use and safe handling of firearms for sport and recreational purposes only. Designed for youth, this aspect of the cadet program promotes self-confidence, self-discipline, responsibility, sports etiquette and a respect for firearms. Cadets use a Daisy 853C air rifle that, due to its low muzzle velocity, is not classified under gun legislation as a firearm.
