During the regular training year, the cadets of RCSCC
Quinte are involved in many activities that are outside of the regular
program. They have the opportunity to develop their leadship skills
and friendships through organizing and participating in special events.
While many of these events take place at the Ship, they also have
the opportunity to do some travelling.
Special events include:
Annual
Christmas Mess Dinners - Cadets have the chance to
wear their formal "Blues" and enjoy an evening of being
treated to a formal Christmas dinner served by Navy League members
and volunteers. They participate in impromptu skits, funny stories
and laughter at their misadventures and tales. Don't be surprised
if your cadet comes home with a momento of this evening in the form
of a set of rudolph antlers. There is also recognition in the form
of large candy-filled mugs given to various cadets for their contribution
to the corps.

Hercules Flight Simulator
- A favourite for many cadets during the Christmas holidays! They
get the opportunity to feel what it's like to fly a Hercules aircraft
as they spend some time in a flight simulator at CFB Trenton.
Dances
Sea Cadets are teens and teens like dances. They
enjoy an evening of music and friends for holidays such as Halloween,
Valentines, Christmas and more...
Ski Trips - In January,
February and March, cadets have the opportunity for a day of fun on
the slopes of Haliburton. Click here to see

New Year's Chess Tournament -
For cadets who enjoy the game, they enjoy a day playing! For those
who don't play, they come and watch the competition.
