The Ministry of Education's Mandate requires
high school students to contribute 40 hours between Grade 9 and
Grade 12 in Community Involvement. The Belleville Branch of the
Navy League is very pleased to have developed an agreement with
several local high schools that hours spent in community involvement
with cadets are credited to their hours required for school mandate.
"Battle
of the Atlantic" is a ceremony celebrated
on the first Sunday in May to commemorate sacrifices made by sailors
and merchant seamen during the Second World War.
